SYMPHONY HALL CELEBRATES BROAD STREET AWARD WIN

10 March 2009

Symphony Hall is celebrating success after winning the first ever Best Arts and Entertainment Venue award at the Best of Broad Street Awards.

Created this year to recognise the most outstanding theatre, cinema, music hall or gallery in the popular entertainment district of Broad St area, the award was voted for by readers of the Birmingham Post in a week long competition.

Fighting off fierce competition from The Rep, The Crescent Theatre, IKON Gallery and others, Symphony Hall was announced as the winning venue in a glitzy awards ceremony held at the city’s International Convention Centre earlier this week.

The Best of Broad Street awards, now in their fourth year, celebrate the achievements and contributions of the many bars, venues and restaurants west of the city centre through 20 award categories to include Best Chef, Best Restaurant and Best Manager.
