A private view was held to launch Jazz Camera, a special exhibition of photographs by John Watson, who this year marks his 40th anniversary covering the West Midlands music scene as a writer and photographer.

The free exhibition, which runs from 3-31 March on Symphony Hall Level 4 foyer, showcases his portraits of jazz legends including pianist Oscar Peterson, singer Dame Cleo Laine, trumpeter Chet Baker and composer-arranger Gil Evans. Jazz Camera also features photographs of younger players and rising stars, including pianist Zoe Rahman and Birmingham saxophonist Soweto Kinch.

The exhibition is open from 10am-6pm each day, and during evening performances, on Symphony Hall Level 4 Foyer. Admission free. Prints of the exhibition images are available for sale.
